Sheila, Kee and I started our journey from WSFFM office at 10:45 a.m to attend FITMalaysia in Malacca for Stick2stix. The journey took us about 3.5 hours to reach the destination due to heavy rain, school holidays and traffic congestion in Malacca town. When we arrived at our booth in Dataran Pahlwan, we could see some crowd approaching towards our booth for Wheelchair Dance & Taekwondo performances prior to Stick2stix. Our event was scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Survey Questionnaires were distributed to visitors at our booth & WSFFM lanyard was given to every participant who filled up the questionnaires.
When our instructor, Natrah Ann took the lead on stage, we were impressed by the participants from wheelchair bound to the children who were so energetic, synchronizing their movements with lovely music. At the end of the session, participants’ attires were wet due to heavy perspiration, but their faces filled with joy. The children enjoyed too; this fun filled exercise.
We departed Malacca at approximately 5:30 p.m heading back to Shah Alam. We made a short stop for dinner at Air Keroh before heading home. Traffic was slow due to 4 road accidents on the highways. Arrived WSFFM office at 8:45 p.m
