Putrajaya Youth Festival 2014

The Putrajaya Youth Festival is a yearly event hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia(Kementerian Belia dan Sukan).  The three-day Festival was held from 23 – 25 May 2014at Persiaran Perdana, Presint 4, Putrajaya from 10am to 10pm.

 

The festival’s main aim is for the young people from all over Malaysia to come forward to promote a healthy lifestyle and to showcase their talents and their aspirations.

This year’s theme “Dari Belia, Untuk Belia” (“From Youth to youth”)was divided into 60 sections with emphasis on education, skills, creativity, talent, interactivity and volunteerism.

 

Stick2stix was given a slot under the FitMalaysia Category.Stick2stix is a registered trademark of Women’s Sports and Fitness Foundation Malaysia (WSFFM). Stick2stix provided a robust workout with lots of fun.  The programwas held on 2 days, Saturday and Sunday.  Entrance was free of charge.

 

The Stick2stix workout started off with a warm-up and stretching exercise followed by fun dance.It ended with the conditioning and cooling off movements.Prizes were awarded for both days. The judges were Puan Hafidzah and Puan Che’ Aishah from WSFFM. The criteria for the judging included compulsory and execution of moves, choreography and artistic movements. The prizes were given to the most energetic male and female dancers and to the performer with the best attire.

 

Encik Mohd Nor Bin Md Said, Deputy Director-General of Sports Development and Puan Hajah Salmah Binti Aziz, Director of Fitness, gave away the prizes.
